Diane came to First Presbyterian Church in 1989 to serve as Production Secretary. She was raised in the Lutheran Church, and before coming to FPC, was very active in her own congregation where she has taught Sunday School, and participated in music, outreach and women’s ministries. A highlight of service for her was a trip to Zambia, Africa, where she was part of a team that led worship, taught Bible studies and refurbished an old chicken coup to be used for an orphanage and hospital in the bush.
Diane, and her husband, Jim, have two grown children—a son in Washington, D.C., and a daughter and son-in-law in Los Angeles—both great places to visit! She enjoys music, ballroom dancing, trips to the museum, a good cup of coffee, traveling and neighborhood walks. It has been a privilege for her to get know and serve with the wonderful people that God has called to First Presbyterian Church, Norfolk. |
