Lori Tyson has been a member of First Presbyterian since May 2006. She became the FPC Administrative Assistant in May of 2007.
Before coming to FPC, she was very active in a number of ministries at our sister church Great Bridge Presbyterian in Chesapeake. She served as a youth leader, taught Sunday school, chaired the Women’s Retreat, and a participated on a mission trip to Nicaragua. This experience in leadership and ministry has helped Lori immensely in her role on the FPC staff.
At FPC she is currently serving on the Women’s Retreat Committee and the Small Group Committee.
She has lived in the Hampton Roads area all her life. She worked for a major airline both as a flight attendant and later a ticketing agent. Prior to coming on staff at FPC, Lori worked as Member Services Coordinator for the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.
Lori’s family and friends mean the world to her. She has three children (aged 18, 21 & 26). She is engaged to Craig Klinefelter, and they will be getting married in May 2008.
She has an adorable puppy named John Wesley Parker Klinefelter I.
In her free time, she loves being involved in outdoor activities from hiking, playing tennis, or just going for a walk at the beach.
