Men's Dinner

2012 FPC Men’s Banquet - "Iron Sharpens Iron"

Friday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m. in First Hall

Cost: $20

Make checks payable to FPC, noting "Men's Banquet" in the Memo Space.

“Iron Sharpens Iron” is the theme for this year’s banquet, which will focus on vital male relationships. The Apostle Paul built and nurtured key relationships with Barnabas, Silas and Timothy, each of whom played a significant role in Paul’s life. Come and enjoy an evening of fun, fellowship and good food and hear how you can strengthen your walk with Christ by making time for developing key relationships in your life.

Shoulder-to-Shoulder Men’s Breakfast
7:00 – 8:00 a.m., 2nd & 4th Tuesday

Beginning on Tuesday, October 25, we will set out on a new journey of discovery at our S2S breakfasts. Jim Wood and guest speakers will guide us through discussions on critical issues that every man faces in his life. Regardless of your age or marital status, these discussions will provide valuable insights into the challenges of being a Christian man in the 21st century and strategies for meeting those challenges head-on. We will use the book Point Man by Steve Farrar as a resource for our discussions.  Click here for ordering information.

Come and enjoy a full breakfast, great fellowship and a challenging message about being the "point man" in your home.

Men’s Running Team

FPC Men's running team is a group of committed Christian runners who usually gather early to run Norfolk's high-ways and by-ways. Specifically, the Early Birds, a small faction within the larger team, are found at the church during the work week (normally Wednesdays; other times Mondays and Fridays, as well). These Birds meet at 5:30am to run as much as six, and as little as three or four miles. On Saturday, the main running day, the whole team meets at the church at a time to be decided to run a longer length. The team is contemplating several competitive runs. Some have searched out and found interesting runs of varying lengths in other states; e.g., Florida, Tennessee and California. Most will run Virginia Beach's Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon. All men are welcome and invited! Contact Wynter Benda [phone: 382-6468] for more information.
