First Presbyterian Church

Nehemiah Ministries is FPC’s prayer ministry. The ministry is named for Nehemiah, a great Old Testament man of faithful prayer and intercession during the return of Israel to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the wall. He saw God’s Spirit working in mighty ways and understood the opposition that would follow. God is at work at FPC in amazing ways also and it is our prayer that we will raise up an army of Nehemiahs who will commit to pray for all that God is doing among us and through us.

 

In the Psalms we read, “Be still and know that I am God”.  One of the best ways to know Him is in prayer.  He wants us to be in relationship with Him.  Prayer is not about religion; it’s about relationship.

The Center for Prayer and Spiritual Growth is itself an answer to the prayers of our FPC family and is a testimony to God’s faithfulness.  At the Center you will find a quiet place where you can be still and find rest and peace in the presence of the Lord.

 

The Center is open for private or group prayer Mondays through Thursdays.

You will need to call Kristine Rand for instructions on how to enter the building.  Also, if you have a specific need and would like someone to pray with you, please call Kristine at 625-1697.  Either Kristine or one of the Nehemiah intercessors will be available to meet with you.

 

On Sundays from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. you invited to join others to pray for our church, especially for all three church services, Sunday school, our pastors, our teachers and for the needs of our church family.

 

 

Every Sunday after the 8:30, 9:30 and 11:00 services, a member of the Nehemiah prayer team is available to listen, pray and talk with visitors and members of our FPC family.

 

2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 12:00 noon.
