First Presbyterian Church

 

The Norfolk Emergency Shelter Team (NEST) is a ministry to the homeless sponsored by the city of Norfolk and many area churches and synagogues. Each year during the week of Christmas, our congregation serves more than seventy homeless men and women dinner and breakfast and offers them a warm place to sleep in our Fellowship Hall. Opportunities for ministry include serving as dinner cooks, greeters, hosts, a member of the overnight team, or as a part of the early morning clean-up team.
